Of Minds and Mites
Oh, the disdain for Bob Proctor, Tony Robins, Dr. Phil, John Gray, Esther and Jerry Hicks, and so many others. “But why?”, you ask. Maybe you don’t, but I’ll tell anyway. It’s quite simple actually, and I promise that a single paragraph is all that it takes to make the point. After that, it’s the good stuff. Honest.
When was the last time you heard the likes of the above tell you something new, or, if new indeed, is there anything to back up what they are saying? Do some research, and you’ll find that the ‘wisdom’ imparted by their kind either falls into the common knowledge or the Dubious category. Of course, for the former no research is needed - you already knew ‘the secret’. For the latter, anger is a very justified result. How can someone make claims with such detail and conviction, without hard evidence to back them? It seems many people don’t mind being lied to as long as they are hearing what they want to hear. From there, it only makes sense for a business savvy individual to cash in on this human weakness.
The blog is a step closer to a new look… mentally, that is. Still nothing new on the hard drive, but in my mind I’ve got grand visions of the finished product. I love this kind of work - I could sit and stare at it for hours. My unemployment councilor will vouch for me. Her and I, we go way back.
Speaking of doing things, work, and other stuff I not care for much, I was in the process of cleaning up my laptop and deleted the recycling bin. How? I don’t know. What next? Good question, but before I try to answer it, I think I need a break. I’m gonna go and lie down. In the meanwhile, make yourself at home here at Hergest Ridge, and please do not feed the horses… if you find any.
