Modest Mouse
Earlier today, as I sat hunched over catching up on my Email, an Instant Message came through opening with ‘Hey, Modest Mouse Fan’. It seems that many folks I work with have damn good music taste, and the Modest Mouse excerpts I frequently use for my MSN status got me recognised. By golly, I didn’t even know Modest Mouse was coming to town! I looked at their website not that long ago, and later complained to a few people about how the list of places they tour keeps getting shorter and shorter - our city not being one of them yet again.
Ha! So yeah, now I’m the proud owner of two Modest Mouse tickets, courtesy of a pre-sale code provided by the helpful gent at the very back of the office - the one that told me about this concert in the first place. This month it was Minsoo Sohn on the piano, next is Tegan and Sara in early October, and Modest Mouse in early November.

Actually, thanks to last night, this month it was more than just Minsoo Sohn on the piano!
It’s the season for concerts.
I find it amusing that most people who would read this entry would say to themselves: “ooh, Tegan & Sara; ooh, Modest Mouse… but who the hell is Minsoo Sohn??” :)
