Lady Rose En Route Gallery
Arthur Brash | January 24, 2007 | 2:15I’ve gone through some of the photos I took in 2005 and ’06, and found a few I thought worth sharing. Converting them from full size to usable proportions takes a while, so I’ll post a few at a time. Most of these will be uploaded to sxc.hu with no usage restrictions. I’ll link to the accepted, full size sxc.hu picture versions, right from the images here on my blog.
The pictures are from a boat trip on Lady Rose starting at Port Alberni, heading to Bamfield (Vancouver Island, British Columbia). My girlfriend received two tickets for the ride as part of her birthday present, and shared the gift with myself.

Vancouver Island far-off coast line from the deck of Lady Rose, en route to Bamfield, a town with air and water access only.

Vancouver Island coast line, close up and personal.

This is one Canada Post Office you can’t drive to.

What’s left of a fish canning plant, somewhere between Port Alberni and Bamfield. The plant burned down, which is a bit ironic considering the location.

My favourite picture from Bamfield. Maybe someday I’ll make it into a postcard (click image for large version).
Got a few more from the Bamfield trip. I’ll share those in the next few days, along with the rest of the blog worthy pics.
