Imagine No Religion
Imagine one religion is how the World Church wanted the world to hear and remember John Lennon’s “Imagine”. “John told them that they didn’t understand it at all.” To this day, there are reports that some in the US are broadcasting the World Church proposed version of the song, or omitting the line all together.

It seems to me that this entry is a tad, well, short: is there a part missing, by any chance? Or is this following the philosophy that “less is more”? :)
What is written, however, is unfortunately all too believable. American Christianity (its own very special brand, regardless of sub-type or specific theology) has spread its influence, tentacle-like, into every sphere of society. I can see them rewriting the lyrics to this anthem to peace; but then, I wonder how they explain Lennon’s highly un-Christian behaviour throughout his life?

From my experience, the major religions on offer bode poorly in explaining anything. Instead, making amazing claims seems to be the going business model, one that works well for those under the harmful impression that all answers to life are contained in an ancient book a long lineage removed from the original, written and translated by humans with biases and personal agendas, from a time whence a flat earth theory was the law of the land.
The entry sat in the queue for many a month, waiting for “completion” (whatever that means.) In the end, all added before and after the snippet here published was just a rehash of that already present in the original. I took that as a hint that maybe the idea is complete, and anything I add unnecessary noise.
