The only “meaning” to that event is that you missed out on the opportunity to have a BBQ’d dove for supper!

Rich in symbolism, the white dove… As I told you earlier, if your life was a TV movie, that bird would have no doubt been an angel sent to watch over you, revealing its true nature only in the last 10 minutes of the program, when you succumbed to its hypnotizing presence and crossed over to the other side of the tracks, so to speak.
There are many reasons to be thankful that one’s life *isn’t* a TV movie – this would be but one of them. :)

Although there still may be some symbolism there, though far less mysterious. That a wild bird sought shelter in your abode may mean that he saw in you a soothing presence, and simply felt safe and secure around you. (I wouldn’t blame him!)

As for you “taking flight” yourself… I await that event with bated breath. :)
