The Beast

I’m gonna hunt me down a mammoth

into a pit of ice, and let it rest there

so I never have to go hunting again.

And with my spare time, I’ll invent the wheel and will finally enter into so called civilisation. It’s the only way, for I’ve hated the hunt from the first day. We are the dollars and cents, and I loathe to wear the face of another.

You’re OK

To the owner of the blue, sporty auto, licence plate YOUR-OK: You’re OK, too. Your grammar on the other hand… it just doesn’t lend itself for presentation on a customised licence plate.

They must be searing - the members bringing in business to the group. For each contribution each receives a chance at the weekly door prize. Despite multiple members with several contributions per week, I cleaned up both door prizes with my first contribution in a month. A third of the kind this year.

It’s the small things.

I have to believe that for I’ve lost sight of the big picture. It’s somewhere out there, behind a curtain of fog and mist. It’s not that I don’t know the direction, it’s just that the moat is in the way. The drawbridge is somewhere out there, but likely unmanned - it might be drawn.

Patience is of no use for all around a low growl crawls the damp earth just out of sight.

If all else fails, I’ll learn to swim all over again.
