Bible Plagiarism
It’s quite obvious that if we were to cut out all the fiction from the bible, it’d be a short tale and an afternoon read. But what would remain if we took out the repetition?
Below is a sample of 2 Kings 19 beside Isaiah 37. (Click on the image to enlarge the photo.) You might notice that under the “Judah Delivered from Sennacherib” subtitles there’s a note on where else in the bible the same verses can be found.
Traditionally Jeremiah was credited with the authorship of the Books of Kings, but wouldn’t that make Isaiah a lousy prophet?

I actually found a website that gave a quick rundown of the Kings books; it seems there are several other repetitions to be found there (and the plagiarised sections are referred to as “source documents” for the unnamed author of Kings I & II).
How I would’ve liked to have gotten away with full-blown copying of relevant articles for some of my uni papers, simply by calling them source documents… :)
