As it turns out a better reflection of the past was always within my reach opposed to somewhere external and far off - the places everything played itself out moved on. The realisation was at first a shock, but now I'm reminded of wisdom credited to John Fowles who proposed that the human mind is more a universe than the universe itself. I think... he is right.
