Things Are Falling Into Place
I never did get to sit down and play around with Word Press like I planned to. I was thinking of one, nice long session during which I download other blogging software and compare it real time with Word Press and one another. Still, the limited exposure to my current choice has started to grow on me. Hopefully this portion of the early start phase is coming to a close.
I have a ton of ideas for the blog, but not that much time in which to execute them. It looks like I will start with the content portion while keeping the default look. I tried a couple of skins, but they all were missing something. Nothing worse than changing some options in Word Press and later realising that they did not take effect or are not showing because a skin is not complete or broken. I’ll spare myself those kind of problems until I have time to deal with them.
So, what do I have in mind for the content portion of the blog?
For starters I am looking at about a 70/30 split on web and webdesign content to what I think of as a “Life” section. Web and design would touch upon everything from new and exciting software for webmasters, to web tools, design techniques theory, and the environments in which all of those exist (server and desktop).
The Life section is shaping in my mind into everything from politics to personal rants, some of which may be readable only to those whom can read Polish or German (and of course those whom know how to use Babelfish!).
I’m very excited and am spending a lot of time thinking of what exactly I want to do. When I finally get some time to actually sit down and publish a thing or two, I’ll be able to skip right to the good stuff without wasting any time.
